Complete assemblies and long blocks pulled from documented donor vehicles, compression-tested, and quoted with the mileage attached. If we can't verify it, we don't sell it.
"Used engine" covers several different things. Here is what each term means when we use it, so you can match the quote to what your mechanic asked for.
The full assembly as it came out of the donor vehicle — block, head, intake and, depending on the pull, accessories still attached. The fastest swap for most jobs.
Block, crankshaft, pistons, cylinder head and valvetrain, without the external accessories. Your existing intake, manifolds and electronics carry over.
Both units pulled from the same donor vehicle. Worth asking about when the transmission has high mileage too — matched pairs are usually cheaper than two separate orders.
The warranty covers the engine assembly against internal failure for three years or 30,000 miles from the delivery date, whichever comes first. It is written on your invoice, not implied.
Installation must be carried out by a licensed repair facility, and the invoice for that work is what we ask for if a claim is ever made. Fluids, filters, gaskets, sensors and labour are not covered by the parts warranty — extended labour coverage can be added at the time of purchase.
Claims start with a call. In practice most are resolved by identifying an installation issue over the phone; where the unit is genuinely at fault we replace it.

Four minutes of preparation prevents the single most common problem in this industry: a part that is correct for the model but wrong for the specific vehicle.
Seventeen characters, visible through the windshield on the driver's side. It identifies the exact engine variant your vehicle was built with, including mid-year changes that model year alone will miss.
For example 2.4L four-cylinder, or 5.7L V8. If your vehicle was offered with more than one engine, this narrows it immediately.
Whether the shop diagnosed a cracked block, spun bearing or blown head gasket tells us whether a long block is enough or a complete assembly is the safer buy.
Residential, commercial or repair shop. It affects freight handling — a shop with a forklift is simpler and often faster than a residential driveway drop.
